If there is one thing I fall for in autumn, it's warm andbuttery pearsadorned with a mouthwatering streusel-like topping. This pear crumble recipe checks all those boxes and comes together quickly thanks to my trusty air fryer. Yes, an air fryer. This small appliance does more than just "fry" chicken wings. The crumble is absolutely delicious, and a scoop of ice cream on top is the pièce de résistance.
While I'm all about every version of acobblerand acrisp, a crumble might be my favorite of the fruit desserts because the topping is, well, a little extra crumbly. It's a simple combination of flour, sugar, spices, and butter, but when baked over the top of pears, it gives a delectable crunchy texture.
Whileice creamis my go-to topping, you can do whipped cream or a drizzle of heavy cream if that's more your style.
